Equipment and Technology

Monona Terrace is equipped with the most current technology to support all meeting or exhibitor needs.

Telecommunications
An on-site phone system allows us to customize a telecommunications solution to fit your needs. Early assignment of phone numbers, selective restrictions of phone line access, instant individual-line long distance billing, speaker phones and conference phones are just some of the available options. Video conferencing over ISDN lines can be provided anywhere in the building.

Computer Network
Internet access is provided over a fault-tolerant system of fiber, switches and redundant ISPs. With speeds up to DS-3, we can provide the bandwidth necessary for IP video streaming. The existing internal network distribution is over fiber and CAT5 wiring to all locations. Substantial wireless infrastructure has been installed to provide portable IP access throughout the building and rooftop gardens.

Lighting
Programmable lighting gives users control. There are dimmable incandescent lights in all rooms and additional mercury vapor or fluorescent lighting is available for even brighter exhibitor lighting. Theatrical lights are ceiling hung in most spaces and can be added for highlighting speakers or platforms.

Sound
All rooms include ceiling-mounted speakers for public address. Equipment can be added to provide for any need—from laptop audio to a full-range, 24-channel system.

Translation Equipment
Available in the Lecture Hall.

Staging/Platforms
Lecture Hall features a 10' x 60' speaker's platform/stage. A 35' x 50' portable stage is also available.

Equipment
In-house inventory includes all the necessities: microphones, portable sound and lighting, projection equipment, VCRs, tables, chairs and skirting.
